How to Get Away With Murder S03E06 Recap

0

SOME SPOILERS AHEAD.

The body isn’t Asher confirmed! I knew it wasn’t him. Seeing Michaela so panicked and on the verge of tears was quite sweet considering how cold she’s been to him in the past few episodes. She really does care!

When it flashed back to three weeks earlier and Asher left because he was tired of being undervalued I was sad, more so for him than for Michaela. He continues to be an adorable goof and how she could be so resistant to it is beyond me.

But he came back! And she took him back! And they had the cutest little moment. He was able to get her to take down her walls and open herself up to him. It was beautiful. I can’t wait for them to be officially official. It looks like she will finally allow herself to acknowledge him and his feelings and allow herself to accept them and coming to appreciate him. He’s so sweet! Anyone can see that and I think she’s starting to see that too.

I was genuinely shocked when Bonnie revealed that the whole thing with Frank was about getting a confession out of him. That’s not something that I had expected. Annalise had a point though; if they turned in Frank he could tell the police about everything they’ve done. Bonnie should have thought about that.

But then again she maintained for the entire episode that all he wanted was to come home. And he has seemed to be very upset at the idea of Annalise hating him and he is truly sorry for the role that he played in the death of her child. So I’m not so sure that he actually would have sold them out to the police and perhaps Bonnie thought so as well. Maybe Annalise was just clouded by her anger at him and, as Wes pointed out, I’m certain she doesn’t actually want him to go to jail so she wouldn’t have used the confession.

It’s interesting that Bonnie didn’t confirm to Annalise that Frank did indeed finally spread her legs. She was hurt when she woke up and found him gone last week, so I’m sure she does really care for him deeply. But Annalise is Number One and the only person she is loyal to so.

Annalise was being very, very hard on her for her indiscretion and I felt really bad for Bonnie. I was glad that she called on her later for help in the case. Bonnie is a little out of the dog house at least.

The case this week wasn’t that interesting and I was a little bored with it. I didn’t pay that much attention to it. I felt like the ADA and the judge were ganging up on Annalise and trying to sabotage her. Every single objection the ADA made, the judge sustained. I guess people are just retaliating against Annalise because she is in a precarious situation with her career.

I am even more confused about what Laurel’s motives are for going after Frank.

She told Wes she’s no longer in love with him so if that isn’t motivating her then what is?

I knew she and Wes were going to sleep together in this week’s episode. Just for the simple fact that she is pregnant three weeks down the line and in order to keep the audience guessing about whether the father is Wes or Frank, we would need to see her sleep with Wes when it wouldn’t be too early for a pregnancy to be detectable by the time of the fire.

There is every possibility that she was pregnant at the time she slept with Wes and just didn’t know. In which case, it would be Frank’s. But if she doesn’t know that she is pregnant then the question remains…why was she trying so hard to find him? Telling him that she is pregnant with his baby is the only reason I can think of.

And if she does know she is pregnant, I would think that she would have told Wes…?

In the moments before she kissed Wes, I thought telling him she was pregnant with Frank’s baby was what she going to do, not kiss him.

Random thoughts:

  1. Dammit I spelled “Meggy” wrong!
  2. So Annalise really wasn’t trying to kill Frank?
  3. I love how mean Michaela is to the new kid.
  4. How do people eat in bathrooms???
  5. Two Mean Girls references!
  6. I hate seeing Connor suffer over this break up.
  7. Was Wes always so tall?!
  8. Nate wasn’t shirtless in this episode.

The Breakdown: Surface Studio and Surface Book

0

On the 26th of October, Microsoft Inc. held an event to showcase some new Surface products, and give an idea to developers of where the Surface brand is headed. We would have noted in previous years, Surface products to be portable mini-powerhouses, which can be used for serious productivity actions on the go. This year in stark contrast, the devices announced are not that portable, but have increased their power when it comes to hardware capabilities, and battery life. Today we shall take a look at their main products announced- the Surface Studio and the new Surface Book.

The new iMac (sorry the Surface Studio)

It was bound to happen, Microsoft introduced us to a new AIO (All in One) pc to compete with the iMac, and from all indications so far, it blows the iMac straight out of the water. This device packs a screen with 4,500x 3,000 pixels, and yes for the pixel junkies among us that is more than your typical 4k panel. For most of us anything 4k and higher is a waste of time, however for those who are into video editing, editing 4k video would make a lot of since on a device like this. The system display itself is just 12.5 mm thick, with the ability to be manually adjusted to lie nearly flat- this should aid in the use of drawing and doing intricate designs with a pen. To add the cheery on top, the also announced a new hardware peripheral with the Studio called “Surface Dial”. Basically it’s a round flat mouse-like device that can be used as a forward-and-back tool in drawing. Applying filters, changing colours and etc. can be also used with the gadget.

Specs & Price

The lower end Surface Studio comes with

  • Core i5 Processor
  • Nvidia GTX 965m
  • 8 GBS of RAM
  • 1TB hard drive

The system itself comes with integrated 2.1 speakers (ew), front-facing 5MP camera, 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth, an SD card reader, 4x USB 3.0 ports, an Ethernet jack, and a mini-Display Port connector. Base price starts at $3000 dollars…

Surface Book

There is not much to say about the new Surface Book; it is said to have twice the graphics of its predecessor, 30% more battery life and houses the not so new Intel Skylake chip. Other than that, its general specs are similar to last year’s, just with more power and battery. The design for the most part stayed relatively the same in this upgrade. Microsoft is promising up to 16 hours of battery life with this model, I am willing to bet it has the ability to reach that, after seeing this added a second cooling fan to the device. The lower the temperature the batter the battery life basically. It does weigh 3.34 lbs, and does not have the smoothest design in the world, but it is made for serious work, and Microsoft is hoping buyers utilize all the power the Book has to offer.

Specs & Price

The base spec comes with:

  • Intel Core i7 Processor
  • 8 GB of RAM (higher spec has a 16 GB option)
  • Unnamed Nvidia graphics chip
  • 256 GB SSD

For connections it has 2x USB 3.0 ports, a full sized sd card reader, mini Display Port and headphone jack.

Base price starts at $2,399.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1OsmndtIrY

So what do you think of Microsoft offering this year, I personally think these announcements were received quite well. The price tags are quite high, but atleast you get a sense of what you are actually paying for, sheer power and design. Let us know your thoughts down below, and keep locked to this space for more news.

Kaetan desu! (*≧▽≦)

Episode 3. It’s time for the school’s annual festival and all the classes are getting ideas together to make their class stand out during the festival. The boys want to do a maid cafe, but the girls are against it. They eventually end up compromising on a cosplay cafe where everyone dresses up.

Kai and the boys are discussing their activities for the festival. Nanashima makes it very clear that he’s not excited for the cosplay, despite everyone else’s thoughts. Kae has the perfect costumes in mind, and plans to juggle all of them, and the histoy club’s activities at the same time. They ask Shinomiya what his class is doing and he says that they’re doing a play. Unfortunately, Shinomiya lost at rock paper scissors and has been assigned to play the part of the princess, which sends Nanashima hurling into laughter.

The mere thought of this naturally excites Kae. She encourages Shinomiya saying he’ll do a great job, and then she insists on being in charge of designing his costume. Ten days before the festival she is trying to take all their measurements, but they don’t seem to want to stop arguing, particularly Nanashima and Shinomiya. They spend most of this episode arguing on how Kae doesn’t see Shinomiya as a man, or Nanashima as a real person, due to his striking similarities to Shion.

kiss-him-not-me-9kiss-him-not-me-10kiss-him-not-me-11

Kae gets so overwhelmed from all the tasks that she has taken on that she slowly starts to disintegrate. The boys step in and offer to help her by heading over to the history Club to do her part while she finishes up on their costumes. Igarashi seems bothered about something but he doesn’t want to reveal it. It is now the day before the festival and Kae has finally finished making the costumes. Shinomiya, Igarasshi and Nanashima come out all dressed up, and all of the girls go nuts. Kae expresses her happiness at them wearing the costumes that she worked so hard on.

kiss-him-not-me-14kiss-him-not-me-17

It is the end of the day. As Kae and boys head home, Kae talks about how excited she is and if they have time they should all walk around the festival together. Igarashi immediately makes it known that he has no intention of doing so. He lets them know that he is not interested in being buddy buddy with anyone. He is doing what he is doing because he likes Kae and in order to make sure that she becomes his alone, he’s determined to spend some alone time with her at the festival. But as usual, that’s what however all of the others had the same idea in mind. The four boys end up compromising and make up a schedule so that they can each get an allotted slot time with her.

kiss-him-not-me-19

On the day of the festival, Nanashi gets the first time slot. After a hiccup for a start, he gets her in the room where purikura are being done. Kae is happy about being taken able to have taken a shot next to a 3D Shion. It is then that Nanashi makes that cliche move every Japanese girl(and myself) dreams of a guy doing…the kabedon. He tells Kae to make sure she remembers that he is a real-life man. >< Oh my heart!!! <3

kiss-him-not-me-16kiss-him-not-me-21

He begins to move in for a kiss, but is interrupted by Mutsumi, as his time slot is over. Nanashi argues to have a little more time but Shinomiya holds him back so that Mutsumi can begin his time slot with Kae. Concerned over Kae’s flustered nature, Mutsumi brings them some lunch. He ends up feeding her some of his takoyaki off of his chopsticks. When she realizes they just had an indirect kiss, Kae freaks out and that’s when Igarashi steps in and takes Kae away to watch Shinomiya’s play as part of his time slot. He was clearly pissed….

2016-10-26-652016-10-26-662016-10-26-682016-10-26-67

As Kae recovers from that instance, the play begins. Igarashi immediately goes and grabs Kae’s hand. When Kae notices, she immediately gets flustered. Igarashi asks if  she doesn’t like it. As she tries to explain herself., He inserts his fingers into hers and it becomes too much for her. Kae regains conciousness at the end of the play. LOOOOOOOL

  kiss-him-not-me-24

It is finally Shinomiya’s turn and he takes her into a haunted house. He is undertaking this in order to show off his manly side. Unfortunately, it is Shinomiya who is easily frightened of spirits. Kae tries to comfort him, like a mother would her child, but Shinomiya then remembers how Nanashi teased him.  He pulls Kae in close telling her, that he’s a man, so don’t treat him like a child. heee heee heee ^___^

kiss-him-not-me-25

What a lovely moment…….it’s too bad that a ghost then jumps out, scaring the crap out of Shinomiya and making him jump into Kae’s arms. Kae can’t handle his weight and they topple over. When Kae opens her eyes, she realizes that ShInomiya’s face is implanted in her chest. O…..O I was wondering when this was going to happen. Kae becomes hysterical and totally legs it out of there back to the classroom. Shinomiya exits with a smirk on his face and a clear reaction from a nose bleed.

kiss-him-not-me-26

A-chan is wondering how the dates went, when Kae comes rushing back to her. They go to a set of stairs and A-chan listens as Kae complains about her impossible situation today (throwing in a well-placed Jojo reference) A-chan explains that the guys just want to make progress on their own personal relationships with her. She then goes off to get a drink for them, telling Kae to just sit there and relax. Kae gets a text message from Igarashi asking where she is, but Kae is reluctant to answer.

She continues to mope until three guys from another school spot her and try to get her to leave with them. Kae becomes paranoid and manages to punch one and runs on, with them hot on her heels. They catch her a bit further down the hall, and when Kae thinks it’s all over, Igarashi and the others show up to defend Kae. They look so cooooooooooooooooooool here! About Mutsumi calmly putting a plastic bag over one’s head….HAHAHAHAHA

2016-10-26-63kiss-him-not-me-2

Kae tries to break up the fight. when one of them bumps into her. She gets angry and screams the fight to a stop. In the history club room, Kae explains to the boys that she isn’t just ready for such intense moments like what happened today. The boys apologize to her (while also finding out what moves the others made in their private time) and they all agree to take things slowly with her.

kiss-him-not-me-28

The festival has ended and the highlight of it, the folk dance, an event that high schoolers look forward to (due to you being able to get closer to your crush through dance) The boys are about to compete to see who can dance with Serinuma, but then they make a compromise. In a strange and pleasant change of sceneray for Kae and A-chan, the four boys dance with each other. That ends out this recap. See you next week!

Kaetan desu! (*≧▽≦)

Episode 2 kicks off the day after Kae’s date with the four boys. Nanashima is surprised at Igarashi’s willingness to show off a limited anime keychain that Kae got all f
or everyone on the date. Otaku are generally frowned upon in Japanese schools and society in general and can lead to the subject of bullying so most people tend to keep quiet about it. Nanashima makes it clear that it’s a turnoff for him, but Igarashi disasgrees, saying he would be grateful for one less rival. The two boys arrive at gym to see Kae diving for a volleyball, which somehow leads to a point being scored. It is pointed out that even while she was large, Kae was always quite athletic but now that she’s lost weight, she feels like she can do much more. It is quite clear that Kae is taking full advantage of her new….thinner constitution.

kiss-him-not-me-15

After gym class, Kae is approached by the Girls soccer Club for her assistance. They explain to her that an existing member of the team hurt her leg and with a practice match coming up next week, they need a temporary replacement and they would like for Kae to be that person. Kae immediately accepts without thinking it over. She says that she knows a lot about soccer but that’s only through watching anime. She has actually never played. *Facepalm. In the lunchroom, she tells the four boys about her offer. Igarashi sees this an opportunity to get closer to Kae and offers to coach her since he is on the soccer team. But since he also has to practice, he says that Nanashima can fill in for him at the times that he can’t coach her since he used to play. Nanashima refuses upfront, saying that she would just drag the other team members down. This upsets Kae, which leads to her and Nanashima exchanging heated words in the cafeteria, and then him leaving reiterating on his unwillingness to teach her.

kiss-him-not-me-16kiss-him-not-me-1kiss-him-not-me-2kiss-him-not-me-3

It’s the end of classes and Kae joins the soccer team for her first practice session with them and it already proves to be too much during the warm-up and she is exhausted by the time it is all over. Igarashi meets her for their one-on-one session and she tries to keep up but, because of her former indoor life, she isn’t fit enough and collapses. With two days down, Shinomiya tapes up Kae’s foot and blushes fiercly when she thanks him for it. However Mutsumi steals his thunder by bringing refeshments and Shinomiya is not afraid to show it. I kinda felt bad for him though, and that temper tantrum was so cute. ^_^ There are now three days left until the practice match.

Meanwhile, the two girls that originally recruited Kae are by the front lockers discussing at how terrible Kae is at catching up to the rest of the team. Nanashima overhears them and proceeds to tell them off for gossiping about her when they were the ones who recruited her in the first place. As he heads out, Nanashima happens to see Kae practicing. He watches in horror as she executes a technique quite like no other in that when she kicks the ball, it reverse rotates back into her direction, hitting herself in the face. Nanashima suggests that she can still gracefully bow out but Kae refuses, showing that she wants to keep going, despite having difficulties. Nanashima  is inspired and gives into teaching her. It’s the day of the match, with two minutes left and Kae’s team down by one point. The team is ready to give up, but Kae persuades them into trying one more strategy that she is sure will work. On the throw-in, Kae works a miracle by initiating her curve-ball technique by facing the opposite direction from the opposing goal. Nanashima breaks out in laughter and then later admits to changing his mind about giving up on his pursuit of Kae. Kae is sore all over, but happy because summer vacation is coming up. As she announces her plans to A-chan, her teacher reminds her that if she fails the next test that she’ll have to take two weeks worth of summer supplementary lessons. This shocks Kae into a studying frenzy, but it is clear that she is struggling , the poor girl.

Mutsumi offers to help her study and the other three jump in when they notice what’s going on. They start off nicely in the library, but due to Nanashima and Shinomiya repeatedly trying to intimidate each other, they are rapidly kicked out. They then proceed to get kicked out of a family rstaurant for the same reason. As they think up a new place for them to study Igarashi suggests that they go to Kae’s house to study. While Kae is accepting of this, she is worried about what the boys will think of her room as it is littered with BL material. She makes a desperate attempt to hide as much as possible so that by the time the boys arrive, she is ready to receive them.

kiss-him-not-me-9

Kae’s mother tries to be hospitable by bringing the kids tea to the room. Kae notices that her mother has on unflattering make up and quickly gets her out of the room before the boys notice. While she is trying to shoo her mother away, Nanashima gets curious about Kae’s room and proceeds to discover just a few of her Shion merchandise, some on purpose and some by accident. Kae expresses her embarrassment of the their discovery and shows them the alter she made for Shion.

Kae’s brother Takuro comes home and on hearing that Kae has boys in her room, he rushes in to give them a warning about her being a full-blown otaku. He exposes all of her hidden BL comics and magazines. This angers Mutsumi, who passive-aggressively shoos him out of Kae’s room. Kae then quickly tries to clean up the mess from the books but Mutsumi stops her. He lets her know that she should be careful when handling her books as he knows they are her treasures. He then later apologizes for how he spoke to Takuro and gives everyone pencils he created for the test.

After they leave, Takuro secretly leaves sweets for Kae as an apology for his behaviour. The next day, we learn that Kae has passed her tests and is set for summer, annnnd the episode ends there!

See you next week!

‘The Girl on The Train’ Film Review

0

600_454566373The Girl on The Train is a 2016 film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Paula Hawkins. Written by Erin Cressida Wilson, directed by Tate Taylor and starring Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett, Justin Theroux, Luke Evans, Allison Janney, Édgar Ramírez and Lisa Kudrow, the film tells the story of lonely, alcoholic, divorcee Rachel Watson – played by Blunt – who watches a young woman – Megan, played by Bennett – as she rides the train everyday. When Megan goes missing after Rachel spots her kissing another man, Rachel decides to help Megan’s husband find her.

This is another one of those films with a trailer that is, by far, better than the film itself.

It is by no means as interesting, intriguing or thrilling as the trailers and marketing suggested it would be.

It has a story that should lend itself to making a captivating, riveting and suspenseful film that engrosses the audience so completely that they hold their breath until it is over.

But that doesn’t happen.

For the vast majority of the film it’s kind of a bore, nothing happens and it goes nowhere. The characters are dull, the story is “meh” and the plot is stagnant.

It’s just bland.

The plot is all over the place, going backward and forward in time. It’s not confusing, however, because the filmmakers use intertitles. It doesn’t lend anything to the film though, or do anything to enhance the story and it certainly does not move the plot forward. The jumping around in time only really serves a purpose toward character development.

There is a twist near the very end of the film that only an incredibly astute viewer could see coming. It’s hard to say if that is a good thing or a bad thing; there is nothing in the film preceding it that even hints at it being a possibility. There is a difference between being subtle and completely omitting information and the filmmakers here, it seems, do not know that.

However, about half of the film is told from Rachel’s point-of-view and as an alcoholic who tends to black out and lose her memory, she is a very unreliable narrator so that could account for that.

The film really picks up and delivers on the promise of the trailer after the twist. The twist turns the entire story on its head, changes the audiences perception of virtually every character and solves the mystery of Megan’s disappearance, simultaneously. It more or less ties up everything. The film instantly becomes enthralling.

Unfortunately, it’s basically over by that point and that one good part toward the end makes up less then a third of the film’s run-time.

The acting in the film is very good, particularly from Blunt and Bennett.

There is a scene early on in which Blunt’s character, Rachel, has a break down in a public bathroom. Blunt’s performance here is raw, visceral and disturbing. The audience pities her and is taken aback at the same time. Blunt succeeds in making the audience have a deep and emotional response to the character.

Bennett had scenes that called for just as much emotion and she gave just as excellent a performance. Megan feels real and Bennett brings a vulnerability to the role that enables the audience to sympathise with Megan.

As stated above, the majority of the film is dedicated to developing the characters and not the plot. Rachel and Megan are fairly well developed, but not as much attention is paid to the other characters in the film. The audience has an almost complete understanding of who and why they are and how they ended up in the situations they are in.

The Girl on The Train is far more boring than it should be. The only really good thing about it is the acting and character development. Everything else leaves a lot to be desired; they are middling at best. It is not at all a terrible film, but it’s not good either and it’s a little less then mediocre.

The Flash S03E04 Recap

SOME SPOILERS AHEAD.

killer-caitlinThis week’s episode of The Flash felt a bit like a filler episode, just because there really wasn’t anything in it that moved the main plot forward. There was progression of sub-plots like Barry and Iris’ relationship, Jesse being a speedster and Caitlin slowly turning into Killer Frost, but there wasn’t anything that was related to the main plot – which pretty much revolves around Dr. Alchemy; who was absent in everything but name – in this episode.

I liked the search for the new Harrison Wells. That was fun to watch with a few laugh-out-loud worthy moments, especially when Harry, Cisco and Caitlin were reviewing the responses from the Harrison Wellses of the other universes. I personally don’t really like the Earth-19 Harrison Wells. He does have a fun personality, but when he first appeared I thought he was a bit of a hipster, douche Wells.

I like the Harrison Wells that we have now. I don’t want to get rid of him and I don’t see the necessity of it. I would assume that its important to the story later, but who knows? The writers might be doing it just because. I think that Tom Cavanagh had a lot of fun with this episode.

I would have liked Jesse to stay on the show a little longer and be Barry’s partner in crime-stopping for a few more episodes. I feel like we barely got to see her as a speedster. And of course she didn’t listen to Barry when given an order. And of course she got in the way and caused trouble in so doing. For a moment I actually thought she wouldn’t make that particular standard rookie mistake. I’m glad she recognised that she was at fault for Barry getting trapped in the mirror.

The Mirror Master villain of the week story was fine. It was nice seeing Ashley Rickards working on something other than Awkward. At least it enabled us to see Captain Cold again; who is hands down the best of the Rogues on the show.

irisIris was an unreasonable pain in the ass. I don’t see why she would not understand Joe being uncomfortable and awkward with seeing her and Barry kissing. They are both his children and it’s kind of weird and he would need time to get used to it. There was no need, really, for her to make Barry talk to him about it. Granted, Joe did end up saying that they’re adults and can do whatever they want, but then she got on Barry’s case for being uncomfortable for getting couple-y in front of Joe.

The writers did not need to give Barry a reason beyond feeling awkward about kissing someone in front of his father, especially someone whom he was raised with as his sister more or less. There was nothing wrong with him feeling awkward about it and he did not need further justification for said feeling. It’s almost like they the writers are trying to say that not sucking face with a significant other in front of your parents is weird. For Iris to basically try to bully Barry out that was unfair and I think that she was in the wrong.

Also, there was a lot of kissing in this episode.

flash-kissing

Random thoughts:

  1. Is Joe getting a love interest?
  2. But that fact that Jesse can run at super speed in high heels though…
  3. Thanks Honest Trailers, I cannot unsee Barry’s head shaking.

Useful Phone Applications: 2nd Edition

0

Welcome to the second edition of useful phone applications- in the previous edition I wrote about some fairly well known apps to us who keep up with app news. Once again this week we have two interesting applications to delve into, however much lesser known- Line Webtoon and Clipboard Actions.

Line Webtoon by NAVER Corp.

When most of us hear the term “webtoon” we can be forgiven for thinking it refers to cartoons launched specifically on the web. It is however, a term used in South Korea describe South Korean web comics or manhwa that are published online. Line Webtoon is an application from this company that allows readers from all over the world, to read these comics all for the low price of free. Yes folks, totally free. The application itself has a very clean interface, no annoying pop up ads or anything of the sort. A wide selection of commaxresdefaultics to choose from (surprisingly most of them are coloured and not in black and white). You are able to favourite all the comics you take a fancy to, which in turn will give you alerts when new chapters of them are published.

  • So what do I like most about this app- clean interface and the ability to download the chapters you wish to read over (please note download chapters only last 30 days on your device). The wide variety of genres available is also a thing to admire. For me personally the comics marked as “horror” on this platform are quite interesting indeed, very chilling.

This application is available on the Playstore and the Appstore.

Clipboard Actions by Halfreal.

Those of us who use our android devices for heavy productivity purposes, often have to use copy and paste a lot. It often becomes a hassle to keep track of the amount of things we have copied, or should have copied for our use since there is no natively built in place in the OS where all the copied lines of texts go, here is where Clipboard Actions come in. So what this application do? The developers have stated this on their Playstore page:

🌟 No Ads, No Freemium, just donations 🌟

🌟 Share images / videos: Download and share images and videos with just one touch
🌟 Jump to previous clipboard entries! Or manage all Clips in a nice material designed List!
🌟 Speak out Clips: Listen to your copied items, for convenience or for pronunciation
🌟 Link Shortener: Shorten Links with bit.ly with one click!

Westworld S01E04 Recap

Who exactly is this Man in Black? Is he the devil, or the liberator of these hosts?

These are the main quests we have after this week’s episode of Westworld titled “Dissonance Theory”. As expected, Westworld is proving to be a very complex show, which rewards its viewers who pay attention to the smallest of details. It seems Robert Ford’s grand story plan is the infamous maze the Man in Black is hunting, atleast it seems to be. Ford claims he has been working on this new project for decades (If so how has no one noticed?), and the Man in Black is rumoured to have been coming to the park for that amount of time.

Westworld so far has been doing a pretty good job of having us second guessing who the androids are, and who the real humans are. I am starting to get a nagging feeling in my head that Stubbs, the security head, is an android. I mean think of it closely, he hardly shows much reaction to things happening around him, and so far he has not displayed any real personality, he basically just follows orders.

Back to the Man in Black (that sounds like a pop song from the 80’s); he was recognized this week by other guests. One mentioned how his foundation saved his sister’s life, which is ironic to say the least. This man who has been shown to mercilessly kill anyone who gets in his way… is capable of saving another life? Very unlikely, though it’s also possible this is a story programed into the park and not an actual fact. Which brings us back to another burning question, is he a host, or human? It is very possible he gained sentience as a host, left the park, and came back for answers. What do I personally think? I believe he is in cahoots with Ford, or atleast Ford knows about his very existence and chooses to do nothing. Ford has proven he is basically a God in this world, he can control any host to do his bidding, is it even possible that a rouge host will get away without his knowing?1-gjewscp9kj791g5y2snvq

Ford’s partner Arnold has been coming up a lot lately. Did he truly go insane and kill himself in the park? Or did Ford have one of the hosts “take care” of him?

Dolores is making the very making strides week after week in trying to comprehend her ever growing realization that something is just not right in the world she currently lives in. Maeve also plays a bigger roll this week, in talking Hector out of his programmed heist, into helping her make sense of out apparent nonsense. She asked him questions to find out just exactly what she is seeing in her sketches. After showing him, he talks vaguely about “the man, who walks between worlds,” who was “sent from hell to oversee our world.” She asks him to carve open her belly — the site of an animal’s greatest vulnerability, as Bernard describes it earlier to Theresa — because she remembers getting shot and wants to see if there’s a still bullet lodged in there.

Yes my friends, Westworld is indeed diving deeper every week into the intricacies of the park and the plot behind it, let us see what happens next
